Nearly all of my work is custom, built to meet clients needs and to achieve high design standards.
I’m trained as an environmental engineer, and have been woodworking and building furniture for more than 30 years. I started Eloquent Woodworking LLC in 2022.
I like to use sustainable hardwoods from my local area (Madison, Wisconsin). That includes black cherry, white oak, red oak, ash, black walnut, maple, and even hackberry. I also like to shop for wood at the Madison / Dane County Habitat for Humanity Restores – so I know I’m getting materials from the Wood Cycle or Urban Wood Network program.
For my custom garden trellises and kitchen racks, I like to use western cedar.
